That's all the good news on this wonderful spring-blossoms-and-leaves-out-day!

Buyers Beware
Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
It has come to my attention that there are now some
"Counterfeit Wee Forest Folk" out there. By that I mean - someone
is repainting the Wee Forest Folk and presenting them as "One of a
Kind" pieces or special colors etc. Years ago painters were allowed
to purchase WFF then paint them any way they wanted for themselves
only. Form time to time some would find their way to the secondary
market. There was very few of these in actual numbers. This practice
was stopped by the factory years ago.
Any one can purchase a standard Wee Forest Folk then repaint
it. But as far as it being a rare one of a kind piece it is nothing
of the sort.
You will remember when the factory was doing store specials
colors of 100 ea. they would put a silver sticker on the bottom
stating it was a Special Color.
My only interest here is to let you know - so you will not to
be fooled into thinking you are getting a rare piece. If you are in
doubt - you could Email a photo to the factory to see if it was
factory-painted. I am sure they would help you out.
P.S. I just spoke to the factory they said the new M-367s
Just Like Daddy will not be out before the first of May. Still well
in time for Father's Day June 15th. As soon as I can get some to
photograph we will post them here, they will be in three (3) colors I
understand.
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill Montague

Minute Mice MM-12 & MM-13
Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
We are now selling the latest Minute Mice - MM-12 Minute Mouse II and MM-13 Red Coat II (see pictures below). Just in time for our Concord Celebration of the start of the American Revolution that began here in Concord at the North Bridge on April 19, 1775!
"Let's take a break and have a little lunch together - before we start shooting at each other.
No point dying on an empty stomach."
A Little History:
This is where the first forcible resistance to British rule came about with the British Army being fired apon by the Colonials, from not only Concord but from many of the nearby towns.
From here the British army fled back to Boston - greatly outnumbered by the built up angry Colonials along the rout - cause by many months of disagreement with the British rule as most of you know from our history. Thus stared the American Revolution!
This is the second set of Minute Mouse and Red Coat designed by Willy Petersen to be produced. The first set he produced in 1979 and was retired in 2001 when he created this greatly improve version in the same year.
This April 19th, 2008 will mark 233 years since that historic day that later Emerson coined the phrase "The Shot Heard Round the World."
A year and three months after the fight at the bridge, the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776 liberating the colonies from British rule. However, the British did not recognize this! The war lasted for eight years, until the Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783. Only then was The United States recognized as an independent nation.

Three Bundles of Joy
Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
As you can see on the Factory's News Page, there are two new
pieces coming out. Both will come in three versions.
I took pictures of the three combinations of M-366s Bundle of Joy (price - $126), take a look below.
I am not sure when we will have them to ship - the Factory only gave me one of each to photograph for you to see.
There are three different colors as well as three different animals.
If you ordered already and wish to pick a color - just let me know.
Otherwise it will be a "Fielders Choice."
It's a little early for M-367s Just Like Daddy (price - $150). It
will also come in three colors. We will put their photos on the Squeaker as soon as we can. You may want to
hold off on ordering specific color, as you may like one color - over the other two.
I can still put your name down as wanting one, then you will tell me later what color you like.
Of course you can order all three colors if you like! I can handle that.
Thanks for Listening! Cheers! Bill (it's Spring) Montague

Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
I guess we are all aware that our nation is in a depression
if our Government wants to admit it or not.
I have been selling Wee Forest Folk since 1977 (with the new
math that's 31 years). In all these years I have found out that the
Wee Forest Folk have always been popular. We might have a recession
in years past but the WFF just kept on selling. It is amazing. Other
collectible lines we have sold just stopped selling when times got rough - then they would go out of business.
We have been in a recession for a few years now as you all
know, and some of the other lines we carried just stopped selling.
The Wee Fores Folks keep producing new pieces every year and
they all sell! While others fall by the wayside - Wee Forest Folk
keep on going.
I belive it's their creative imaginative pieces that appeal
to a very large audience - year after year that keeps them alive and
well. They are mostly family related as you well know.
This says a lot today with the economy they way it is!
However I believe our economy will pick up this year and really pick
up after the next election. I do not want to get into politics - but
a new Washington team is what's needed. May the best Woman win!
I visited the Carter Center last year looking for optimism.
Well Jimmy Carter said that he has faith in the American people -
that we will turn this nation around and get back on the right track.
Well that's good enough for me! If our past President can be
optimistic - then so can I.
I for one know that the Wee Forest Folk people will keep on
doing great pieces as they have for well over 40 years now.
I am happy we found them in 1977 and have grown along with
them all these years.
They are happy folks! All who work there are happy people -
you can see it in their work. Happy people produce happy things.
Thanks for being my customers for all these many years, some
of you started your collections back in 1977 and many of you are
still my customers.
I want to thank you for your business for many years.
I also want to thank you "New Comers" that have just started collecting. You
could not have picked a better product to collect than
The Wee Forest Folk. We look forward to all the new pieces that will
come out this year - and I have a strong feeling you will too.
Thanks for all your Happy 75th. Birthday wishes! My next
big birthday will be in 2033 when I will turn 100! I hope you will
remember to send me a Happy 100th Birthday Card on March 27th
2033. Now don't forget! It's only 25 years away. You know how time
flies.
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill Montague

Custom Lettering for Jolly Tar Sailors
Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
The factory said they would do special lettering on Jolly Tar Sailors if a customer wanted.
Contact us and we will check with the factory if they can do it.
The price will be same as for other sailors with lettering ($90 each), but you would have to order a whole set.
Please keep the lettering short so it can fit on the piece.
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill Montague

Jolly Tar Sailors Are Here!
Hi Folks, it's me Bill,
We received our order of the new "Jolly Tar Sailors" by Willy - take a look below!
We have in three versions:
- Just plain with no lettering priced at $85.00 each.
- Then we have them lettered with "CONCORD" at $90.00 each.
- We also lettered with "BOSTON" at $90.00 each.
Let me know what you think of them. I always wished
Willy would have painted his original Wee Sea Folk, but he wanted
them to look like Scrimshaw, which he did. "They look and feel just
like Ivory"! that's what an Ivory collector said to me - when they
first came out.
Happy Spring - Tomorrow!
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill Montague

Hi Folks it's me Bill,
I understand the factory tours will be held this year on Mondays, June, July, August and Sept. I am usually closed on Sunday and Monday. But if you would let me know ahead of time I will be open on that Monday. If you would like to stop by my Gallery before the tour which is from 11-12 noon, I can give you a map on how to get to the factory. It's 5 miles from down town Concord - a straight shot on one road so you will not get lost.
Our Gallery is at 10 Walden Street here in Concord Center just a few feet from the intersection of Main and Walden St. We are the 3rd shop on the right hand side of Walden heading south from Main St. We have a red and white awning in front. If you should get lost and have a cell phone (who dose not these days) give us a call at (978) 287-4800 and we can give you directions.
Also if you let me know as far ahead as possible I will send you a free copy of my Concord Guidebook that I wrote and published.
You will have a chance to read about all the historic town before you get here. The book has color photos and maps to the main areas if interest, like, Walden Pond (Henry David Thoreau's spot), The North Bridge and the Minuteman where the American Revolution started on April 19th 1775. The Louisa May Alcott home, Emerson's home and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where the Concord notables are buried. There is a lot to see here so you might like to spend a whole day just touring the town, if you are interested in history.
Concord is a nice small town with a great variety of small privately owned shops. For instance Vanderoof Hardware celebrated it's 100th anniversary a couple of years ago. The Concord Book Shop has been here for (40) years or more, we have a great old Cheese Shop - a Kitchen Shop - a wonderful Lamp Shop just across the street from me, to name but a few. Most of these shops have been here longer than I have, (32) years.
Happy New Year once more!
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill Montague

Red Sox Batter-Up! Photos
Hi Folks, It's me Bill,
I have pictures of Special Color MS-15 Batter-Up! in honor of Red Sox win this year. It says "Champs 2007"; it does not say "Red Sox", as that would infringe on the Red Sox name, etc. The price is $76. See the photos below.
I expect to have some in next week, and will start shipping to thouse who are on my list.
This piece will be produced in limited numbers and sold only through New England retailers.
This piece will be available only to my regular customers, one per collector, and not to the general public. In the past - on special color pieces - some of you will remember - strangers would walk in and purchase one, and put it on eBay right away, while leaving my regular customers short.
So, if you are one of my regular customers, let me know if you would like one, and I will add your name to my list. I will start shipping them as soon as I get them in.
Thanks for listening, Cheers! Bill
