About Hagen-Renaker
John and Maxine Renaker started Hagen-Renaker in 1945, in their garage in Culver City, CA.
Ole Hagen, Maxine Renaker's father, with help from his brother Arne, built the first Hagen-Renaker factory
in Monrovia, CA. It is in his honor that the company has "Hagen" in its name.
In the very beginning, Hagen-Renaker was mainly producing dinnerware. However, John Renaker soon discovered
a great potential of miniature animal figurines that Maxine was able to sculpt. When most of the sales at a
January 1948 gift show proved to be for the miniatures, the company dropped all other lines of products,
deciding to concentrate on miniatures only.

Hagen-Renaker has earned the recognition of thousands of collectors around the world. Many wonderful designers
have contributed to the company's success over the years. After 58 years in business, the company is flourishing,
again and again bringing joy into the hearts of dedicated collectors.
